My New Best Friend is Elizabeth’s Daughter

Now, I’m not sure exactly which of these categories I fit into, whether at the age of 31 I still fit the youthful tick box or whether I need to accept I am now of mature aged skin, but when I was introduced to the brand, their calm and gentle, beautifully packaged products, I thought I would give it a go.

Most of my adult life, I have suffered with sensitive skin, a moisturiser too harsh, and I’d end up looking as if I’d suffered sunburn. A make-up primer to oily and I’d have a very unattractive breakout! I found a brand that kept all my allergies, sensitivities at bay at the grand old age of 21, and I’ve never really stuck to any other brands since, but since their catapult from a small organic company, to a multi-national chain of stores, I felt their products had changed somewhat along the way. As a busy working mum, who gets home at night after a long day, I must confess that its all too easy just to pull out a baby wipe and take just enough grime off to be satisfied until I hit the shower in the morning, rather than spend a good 20 minutes on a routine that consists of at least 5 must have products that have burnt a hole in my purse!

I was delighted to try out the Elizabeth’s Daughter range, starting with the Facial gel cleanser, at £12 for 100ml “A refreshing wash-off facial cleanser to help leave skin smooth and bright. Aloe Vera Leaf Juice releases its natural moisturising properties in a base of mild, vegetable-derived actives” As soon as I had used the product along with the Eye Make-Up remover, (£12.50 for 100ml) from the very first time, and in what must have been quite a long time, I realised my skin actually felt clean! I completed my new 3 minute routine and applied the daily moisturiser (£17.50 for 100ml) which absorbed nicely, was light enough for me not to feel I greasy and left my sensitive skin all silky soft.

It may have taken an extra 2 minutes effort to complete my new daily skincare routine, as opposed to scrubbing my delicate face with a baby wipe, but it was worth it, and so great to wake up, minus the panda eyes from the mascara that hadn’t quite come off with a wipe the night before.

I can highly recommend the brand, their products are amazing – my favourite has to be the purifying mask (£19.50 for 100ml) but I wouldn’t recommend you try it unless you want silky soft, beautiful, glowing skin!!!!
